Yonge and Eglinton, or Yonge and Eg, - sometimes even dubbed “Young and Eligible”, due to the predominantly single professionals that reside within the area - is a neighbourhood central to midtown Toronto, bordered by Blythwood to the north, Mount Pleasant to the east, Eglinton Ave to the south, and Avenue Rd to the west.

To its north-west lies the Yonge and Eglinton Centre - a neighbourhood complex that houses a shopping centre, a movie theatre, as well as both office and residential buildings. The Eglinton bus terminal occupies most of the corridor’s south-western corner, while residential towers and luxury condominiums make up both the south-eastern and north-eastern corners.

Along with the area’s burgeoning condo culture, are the many upscale residential homes for the upper-middle class families that Yonge and Eglinton is known for. The large spacious homes, access to public transportation, recreational parks, and wide selection of schools to choose from, make the neighbourhood an ideal choice for families with growing children as well.
